The Pentacle

The pentacle, a five-pointed star drawn of one line has been assigned many meanings throughout history. This shape can bee seen in numerous forms in nature from the halved apple, to the starfish, to the human body itself as exemplified by Da Vinci’s Vitruvian Man. All one has to do is look up at the night sky to see why this is a sigil that has stood the test of time, the spirituality of stars shining down from the darkened sky is almost overwhelming. In many cases the five points represent the four classical elements, with the fifth and topmost point representing the sprint. These elements infused together represent the harmony of all that is, was or will be. The circle surrounding the star binds and protects. Wearing a pentacle is said to protect the wearer as well as bring them in touch with the elements that flow around them, while strengthening their own spirit or self.
